I love the fact that the Norwegian King (Harald V) invited a kindergarten to his castle, for buns and soda.

Doctor Who: New 2012 Season 7 Teaser Trailer (Internet Premiere!)

Here it is: the internet premiere of the teaser trailer for Doctor Who Series 7, as seen this past weekend at the Official Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff! The new season of Doctor Who will premiere this fall (date TBD) on BBC America (US), BBC One (UK_, and SPACE (Canada).

The new season will see the last days of the Ponds, with Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) making their final rollercoaster voyage with The Doctor (Matt Smith). The Ponds have been at the Doctor’s side for more than two seasons but what will he do after their heartbreaking departure?

New guest stars so far confirmed to star will include David Bradley, Rupert Graves, Ben Browder and Mark Williams. Season 7 will then see a dramatic turn of events when The Doctor meets a new friend - the recently-announced new companion, played by Jenna-Louse Coleman. Prepare yourselves for thrills, adventures and dramatic surprises as the show builds towards its enormous, climactic 50th anniversary year.

Fourteen big, blockbuster-movie episodes - each a brand new epic adventure featuring new monsters and some familiar foes as you’ve never seen them before.

Good.

That headline is misleading. Moffat didn’t say he was definitely killing them off, and they only expressed a desire to be killed off. I read somewhere else they were leaving but in a way that meant they could come back in the future.

Nine may not have smiled or laughed with wild abandon as much as Ten or Eleven, but that jut made it all the more amazing. His smile took over his whole face, and transformed his entire being. You knew that when he laughed, he meant it because his smile lit up the whole room and everyone around him. And it was fantastic.

Steven Moffat introduces this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special:

“The Doctor at Christmas - it always just feels so right. When I was a kid, Santa and the Doctor somehow lived in the same place in my head - two generous madmen that I loved so much. So now that the Doctor is a regular feature of Christmas the world is just that bit more right.

“This time we’re in England in the 1940s, and recently widowed Madge Arwell hasn’t told her children, Lily and Cyril, that their father has died flying his bomber home over the channel, because she doesn’t want Christmas to become the day that broke their hearts.

“But when they’re evacuated to a draughty old house in Dorset for the holidays, and meet a mysterious young caretaker in a bow tie, events take an unexpected turn. What could be inside that big blue parcel under the tree?

“Soon the Arwells find themselves in a battle for survival in a magical new land. As ever, at this time of year, the Doctor is trying to make things right, and as always it doesn’t go according to plan. But maybe he’s reckoned without the power of a determined mother.

“This Christmas, it might just be the lonely Time Lord who’s shown the way home.”
